Auto Rater Help and Tips
Summary Screen
The wide buttons on the left of the screen will bring up input screens relating
to the button description. You can use the arrow keys up and down to choose the
coverage. Clicking on a button also selects the coverage. The button last
selected will remain "up" indicating your place in the quote process. However,
information can be input in any order.
Each vehicle has its own section, up to three in one session.
When using a mouse, you can click on an item within the vehicle section, and the
item will change. Example: if you click on Multi-car it will change from N to Y
without having to use the input screen, click again and it will change from Y to
N. The premiums will also change if applicable. If the item has more than two
choices, clicking the item will display the input screen with the cursor at the
corresponding field.
If any group of selections fails the underwriting checks, their entries will
change to red and Conflicts at the top of the screen will turn black. Choose
Conflicts at the top of the screen to see the underwriting error.
The Discount and Surcharge sections in the vehicle section will be gray if not
applied, black if it is applied, and red if it fails the underwriting checks.
Favorite Coverages
This feature is available in the Display Multi Car and Coverages screens.
Preset Proposals is a method to “preset” coverages that you want applied to the
quote. They are designed to save you time and keystrokes, and help avoid
mistakes. You can setup and use an infinite number of Preset Proposals. Each
Preset Proposal can have a custom name. Examples: "Minimum Coverage Good
Student" or " My town with good driver".
To Add a Preset Proposal first run any of the vehicles from the main auto screen
with the information you want saved, then select the Preset Proposal button
directly above that vehicle. Type the title you want for this proposal in the
box. Click on Add/Change or hold down the Alt Key and press the A key.
Change a Preset Proposal:
In the Preset Proposal screen, highlight the proposal you want to change and
then click Select or hold the Alt key down and press the S key. Make the changes
you want and then select Preset Proposal above that vehicle. Highlight the file
name you want to change and click Add/Change or hold down the Alt key and press
the A key.
Delete:
Highlight the Preset Proposal you want to delete and click Delete.
Note: Preset Proposals should not be confused with Save Quote, which saves your
proposals to the client database.
